Zhang Siyuan, fluent in Mandarin, English, and Korean, is a talented pianist whose dedication to her art and remarkable performance skills have led her to prestigious international stages and earned her numerous accolades in the music world. From participating in masterclasses to competing in international events, her musical journey demonstrates both her love for piano and her exceptional achievements along the way.

During her graduate studies, Zhang actively participated in international music masterclasses, including the Summer Music Academy led by the renowned Professor Lee Ki-jung, highlighting her drive for excellence in music. She successfully organized her own solo concert, showcasing her growth and confidence as a pianist. Her performances have ranged from solo pieces to ensemble arrangements, including an impressive eight-hand piece with professors and classmates at the “Seochon International Arts Troupe New Year’s Concert.”

In 2023, Zhang was invited to perform in the TOOL MUSIC MASTERCLASS concert alongside professors from Kyung Hee University and Sejong University, further broadening her international perspective. She also performed at Korea’s Lotte Concert Hall, Seoul National University of Education Concert Hall, and other prestigious venues, sharing her music with global audiences on platforms like YouTube and Bilibili, where she has garnered widespread recognition.

In 2024, Zhang collaborated with the Sejong Symphony Orchestra at the 15th Busan International Music Festival Promenade Concert, an internationally acclaimed performance that marked a high point in her career. Returning to her home country, she served as a piano accompanist in the “Me and My Motherland” flash mob event, organized by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education and the Provincial Music Association, expressing her patriotism through music.

Zhang was also named an honorary member of the World Piano Teachers Association in 2024, recognizing her outstanding contributions to piano performance and education. She won the Gold Medal in the Concerto category of the Beethoven International Music Competition and claimed the top prize in the London Young Musicians International Music Competition for the 2024-25 season. Her achievements include a Gold Medal for solo piano in the Jiangxi regional “De Yi Shuang Xin” Chinese Art Festival and a Second Prize in the national competition. At the 6th Hong Kong International Music Festival, she earned First Prize in the open category for four-hand piano, demonstrating her versatility in both solo and ensemble performance. During her undergraduate studies, she was awarded the Comprehensive Quality Scholarship for four consecutive years and received the “Ye Shengtao Scholarship” and “Outstanding Graduate” honors in 2020.
With her extensive performance experience, exceptional musical talent, and dedication to her art, Zhang Siyuan is not only an accomplished pianist but also a driving force in cultural exchange through music.
