Zhiming Liu is a virtuosic saxophone player from China. His characteristic tonal qualities, deep sense of phrasing, and superb technical skill make him one of the most unique voices in today’s classical saxophone world. He collaborate with the China Youth Symphony Orchestra, Boston Conservatory Woodwind Ensemble, Boston Guerilla opera and CCM Saxophone Ensemble. He has also served as a co-author of national saxophone grading test, along with his mentor, Associate Professor Li Manlong. He won Boston Conservatory at Berklee Concerto Competition Honorable Mentions, 4th Manhattan International Music Competition Sliver Medal, King’s peak international competition First Prize. He is currently pursuing the Doctoral ’s Degree at Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, studying under Dr James Bunte. Also, he completed his Master’s degree at at Boston Conservatory at Berklee, studying under Philipp Stäudlin.
