Zihan is a high school student who is a classical music fanatic and is currently exploring other genres like jazz and contemporary music. Over the course of his musical odyssey, he has come in contact with multiple forms of musical expression. Although his primary instrument is the piano, which he started learning at age five, he has grown to love other aspects of music, whether that be dallying in violin or poring over pages of music theory and counterpoint. In 2022 and 2023, he was the Top 10 Finalist in the Texas Music Teachers Association Sate Performance Contest in Piano Concerto and Solo, respectively. More recently, he received First Class Honors in the Royal Conservatory of Music’s Level 10 Piano & History and Theory.
Outside of music for music’s sake, he loves creating his own little compositions for his personal and school projects.
