Zitian Wang

Dr. Zitian Wang is a musical hybrid, born in China and shaped by his extensive experiences across Europe and the United States. Recognized for his exceptional talent and contributions to both performance and pedagogy, Dr. Wang has earned his place as a prominent figure in the international music community. With a Doctor of Musical Arts in Saxophone Performance from the University of North Texas and a Master of Music from the Conservatorio di Trento, Italy, he has mastered a unique blend of musical influences that captivates audiences worldwide.
His performances span the globe, from Shanghai to New York to Costa Rica, showcasing his versatility and ability to connect with diverse audiences. Dr. Wang’s accolades include winning the First Prize at the 4th Music International Grand Prix in New York and multiple other international competitions such as the Concorso Internazionale Per Giovani Musicisti and the Internazionale Giovani Musicisti ‘Premio Salieri’. His second-place finish at the Concorso Internazionale ‘Rizzardo Bino’ further highlights his consistent excellence.
Throughout his career, Dr. Wang has collaborated with internationally renowned saxophonists, including Marco Albonetti, Eric Nestler, Arno Bornkamp, and Branford Marsalis, and recently premiered three original works at the China-United States Saxophone Art Festival. He will continue his performance schedule later this month at the Dallas Arts Festival, building on his commitment to presenting cutting-edge performances.
