Hailey Wang is a 15-year-old sophomore at Centennial High School in Ellicott City, Maryland. Since the age of 7, she has been studying piano with Mr. David Kuperstein. As a junior pianist, Hailey won First Prize in the 3rd BMTG Intercontinental Competition in both the Piano Concerto category and Piano Duet category, Grand Prize in the 4th and 5th BMTG Intercontinental Competition in the Piano Duet category with Emily Hu, as well as Second Prize in the 5th BMTG Intercontinental Music Competition in the Piano Solo category, and performed at the winner’s concerts at Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall in 2022 and 2023. She won the Second Prize in the Duet category with Emily Hu in the 2023 Contemporary Music Competition by the Charleston International Music Competitions. She has also won numerous awards in Solo and Duet competitions organized by the Maryland State Music Teachers Association. Hailey was a First Prize Winner in the Sempre Musick International Concerto Competition (NH) and performed with Sempre Music Group.
