The TERRA QUARTET is a youth string quartet comprised of students at VALE MUSICA BELEM, a socio-musical program developed in the Amazon area of Brazil, at Fundação Amazônica de Música (Belem-Pará). Through this program, these students have participated in several types of chamber music activities as well as continuously performed with the “ORQUESTRA JOVEM VALE MÚSICA”, a youth orchestra. Their experience has been enriched by having star artists as pianist Nélson Freire, tenor Atalla Ayan, cellist Antonio Meneses, violinist Carmelo de los Santos, harpist Sacha Bogochev as our orchestra’s soloists. The students have also performed at the 2019 edition of the “Figueira da Foz Festival ” (Portugal), as active participants, integrating the chamber music ensemble “CAMERATA FAM”. As Orchestra members, they premiered the Youth Opera “O Viajante das Lendas Amazonicas”, a huge success, with performances in other Brazilian states and Theatro da Paz in Belem-Pará. The opera retells three Amazonian Legends and emcompasses a youth Choir, Orchestra and renowned Soloists. The TERRA QUARTET members also perform as soloists.
