Founded in 2021, Duo Amabile is based in the Seattle and Boston areas. Two founding members, pianist Hyekyeong Hannah Cho and pianist Dr. Young Woong Cho are devoted musicians who have great passion in piano and music.
With various educational backgrounds, such as studying in Russia, Bulgaria, Korea and the United States, Duo Amabile is a distinctive piano duo that expresses vibrant and diversified cultures of many countries. It also delivers the unique colors of each country to the audiences.
Currently HyeKyeong Hannah Cho serves as a piano faculty at St. Martin’s University in Lacey, WA as well as being a chairman of the Hannah Cho Piano Studio in the greater Seattle area. She is active a concert pianist, a jury member for many international competitions and piano pedagogy clinician in US, Bulgaria and South Korea. She won many competitions include the American Prize for piano solo and concerto divisions. Dr. Young Woong Cho works as an adjunct faculty at Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ and is a laureate from numerous international competitions. He was selected as one of the fifteen young artists for the Manchester Music Festival in Manchester, VT in Summer 2014.
Duo Amabile is an enthusiastic duo that will be eager to perform a wide variety of repertoire for piano duo from Baroque to contemporary period.
