Julia Escobar and Brynna Paros

Julia Escobar is a flutist from Austin, Texas who is pursuing her Doctorate in Flute Performance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she also earned her Master’s degree. She studies with Dr. Jonathan Keeble. Julia’s undergraduate studies were at Texas State University under the guidance of Dr. Adah Toland Jones. She enjoys teaching private lessons in Illinois and master classes in central Texas. Particularly interested in piccolo, she will center her doctorate research on transcriptions for piccolo.
