Julian and Benjamin Slive

Benjamin and Julian Slive discovered early the power of music to bring people together. They began their piano studies at the age of 5, and have been studying with Tiffany Goff for the past four years. Passionate about music, Ben and Julian have participated in numerous studio and school recitals in Florida and Ohio, and share their time and talent playing for residents of South Florida assisted living facilities. Individually, Ben and Julian have taken home multiple prizes as soloists, including the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition, King’s Peak International Music Competition, Charleston International Music Competition, Florida Keys International Competition, and honors in the 2021 PBCMTA Judged Musicale. Most recently, they were each honored to present their solos at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, NY. As a piano duo, Ben and Julian have enjoyed performing at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall, NY on several occasions as 1st and 2nd prize winners of the 2018 and 2021 Florida Keys International Music Competition, and 2nd and 3rd prize winners of the 2019 and 2021 American Protégé International Music Talent Competition. After receiving 2nd prize in the 2020 Florida Keys Competition, they were invited to perform at Aventura Arts & Cultural Center in Florida. Together, they participated in a masterclass with Profs. Judith Burganger and Leonid Treer, as well as taking home the gold and silver medals in the 2020 Golden Key International Music Festival.
The twins are also accomplished lacrosse players, and are equally devoted to academics. In their spare time, Ben and Julian like creating art and spending time with their mom, dad, brother Ben, tiny dogs Phoebe and Mikey, and big puppy Everest.
