The Monaco Piano Trio, inspired by the sophistication and allure of Monaco on the French Riviera, aspires to emulate these qualities through its music. This ensemble consists of three teen musicians, Kaylee Kim (violin), Kevin Hernandez (cello), and Joe Gallwas (piano), who discovered a mutual inspiration in each other’s performances. United by their drive for chamber music, which they see as a dialogue among friends, the trio have been coached by David Cunliffe and Jeff Panko at New Music School, honing a sound that reflects the glamour of their namesake, all the while maintaining a vibrant, youthful energy.
