Leon Zhang, Angela Zhang, and Daniel Chen

Leon Zhang, Angela Zhang and Daniel Chen are from Syosset, New York. They performed together at various venues, from Syosset Public Library to Greenfield Hall at Manhattan school of music, and Lincoln Center. The Trio is the second prize winner at New York Concert Festival International Competition in January 2023.

Leon Zhang is a talented 13-year-old musician currently studying at the Music School of Manhattan. He is pre-college student pursuing a major in Piano under the guidance of Professor Adam Kent. Leon’s passion for music extends beyond his academic studies, as he has also participated in the Greenwood Music Camp for Chamber music.

Angela Zhang, age 14, started to show her great interest in music at very young age. At age of nine, she started to play the flute and quickly fell in love with it. Angela is currently a pre-college student at the Manhattan School of Music. In addition to flute, Angela plays the viola, saxophone, and piano. She has won several international piano competitions. In February of 2023, she won the NY Flute Club Young Musicians First Place. She also loves to play chamber music and has been in various different ensembles.

Daniel Chen is a classical violin major student at Manhattan School of Music pre-college. Daniel has been playing violin since he was 8 years old. He has played in school orchestra at age of 9. Daniel also played 1st violin in Concert Orchestra at The Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of New York (MYO). Daniel has participated in All County Music Festival and Long Island String Festival multiple times. Most recently, Daniel performed Haydn String Quartet No. 35 at Syosset High School Spring Concert on June 8, 2023.
