
Melinda Liu and Eleanor Guo are from Howard County, Maryland. They have been collaborating together through Olga and David Kuperstein Piano Studio and are both students of Mr. Kuperstein.
Melinda and Eleanor enjoy playing piano and have participated in multiple regional competitions and festivals. They were both individually First Prize Winners in Solo, Duet competitions in the Maryland State Piano Competition. Melinda was a Grand Prize winner in Concerto category at the BMTG Intercontinental Piano Competition, while Eleanor was First Prize Winner in Solo category at that same competition. Both have performed at Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall.
Melinda is 13 years old, in 8th grade. She has been playing piano since she was 5 years old. Besides piano, she has been a dancer since age 6 and has won many regional and national championships with her dance studio. She is also a rhythmic gymnast and has qualified three years in a row for the Rhythmic Development Program National Championships and won top awards for her gym.
Eleanor is 11 years old, in 6th grade. She has started learning piano since she was 6 years old. Eleanor is a member of her school chorus and also a volleyball athlete. Additionally, she loves creative writing in her spare time.
