Olivia Xia and Olina Xia were born and raised in San Diego, California. They started learning piano at a young age and are among the award winners of solo piano contests regionally and internationally. Olivia, 14, and her sister, Olina, 15, known as the O2 Piano Duet, have won top prizes in piano duets at numerous international music competitions, including the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition (2022), Elite International Music Competition (2023), New York Global Music Competition (2022), Charleston International Piano Competition (2022), the American Virtuoso International Music Competition (2022-2023), and the American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition (2023). They are the Division Finalists representing California in the 2023-2024 Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Southwest Division Senior Piano Duet Student Competition. They performed their pieces at Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2023.
In addition to playing piano, Olivia is an award-winning opera singer, a masterful writer, a competitive swimmer, and a star student; Olina, on the other hand, is an award-winning artist and oboist, as well as a competitive swimmer and a star student.
