Owen Wu and Brian Wu are students of Steinway Artist Dr. Yelena Balabanova. Brian is a 6th grader at Twin Groves Middle School, and Owen is a junior at Stevenson High School. The two started practicing piano at five and won many awards in national and international competitions. These include the Gold Medal at the 2023 London Grand Prize Virtuoso, First Prize at the American Protege International Piano and String Competition of 2024, First Prize in the 2024 American Music Talent Competition, First Prize in American Virtuoso International Music Competition, and Second Prize from the International Mozart Competition Vienna, 2024.
Owen and Brian performed at the Royal Albert Hall and Carnegie Hall. In their free time, they also held several concerts in senior living centers and charities for the public.
They passed the RCM Level 10 Practical Piano Performance test with First Class honors.
