The Fountain Quintet emerged from MUSE, a chamber ensemble driven by a passion for music and community service. Peter Yoon, Brian Choi, David Kim, Lucas Choi, and Ian Kim, all accomplished musicians from various high schools, joined forces to create harmonious melodies that echoed their shared commitment to music and outreach. Peter’s violin mastery, Brian’s dual talents in music and tennis, David’s orchestral experiences, Lucas’s cello virtuosity, and Ian’s commanding presence on the double bass formed the foundation of their ensemble.
United by their love for music and community, the Fountain Quintet embarked on a journey of inspiration and service. From humble beginnings at MUSE, they ventured into competitions and performances, leaving their mark wherever they played. Each member’s musical prowess was matched by their dedication to serving others, whether through mentoring, volunteering, or engaging in charitable initiatives. Through their harmonious melodies, the Fountain Quintet epitomized the ethos of MUSE, using music as a tool to foster unity and goodwill in society.
