
Scarlett Hayoung Lee is a fourth-grade musician from California’s Bay Area who studies piano and cello. She began both instruments at age five and has developed a passion for solo performance, ensemble playing, and musical expression. A dedicated pianist, Scarlett has completed California Certificate of Merit Levels 1–3 since 2023, earning State Honors each year. In 2022, she received Second Place in the SF International Innovative Music Competition. As a cellist, Scarlett earned Second Place in the 2024 American Protégé International Music Competition and was selected to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City. In 2026, she received First Place in cello at the KAMSA Competition. She currently performs with the GSYO Camerata as principal cellist, selected through a seating audition. Scarlett enjoys exploring new repertoire and musical styles. Outside music, she loves mathematics, puzzles, coding, reading, and building with LEGO.
