About Alexandra Stoica
Alexandra Stoica is a Romanian-American violinist, pianist, and music educator whose career spans orchestral, solo, and chamber music performance as well as more than seven years of dedicated teaching experience in the United States and Europe.
She holds a Master of Music in Violin Performance from Boston University and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she was awarded a full scholarship and completed a minor in Piano Performance. Her musical training began in Bucharest, Romania, at the prestigious George Enescu Music High School, followed by studies at the National University of Music Bucharest with violinist and professor Florin Croitoru.
As an orchestral musician, Alexandra currently performs with the Cape Ann Symphony Orchestra and Vista Philharmonic Orchestra. Her extensive orchestral experience also includes performances with the Boston University Symphony Orchestra, Symphony New Hampshire, The Boston Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, European Royal Orchestra, Royal Camerata Orchestra, and Evolution Tempo Orchestra with Steve Vai.
Her career has taken her to concert stages throughout the United States and Europe. Alexandra has appeared as a featured soloist with the George Enescu Philharmonic and has performed at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest. Her international experience includes performances and projects in Romania, Italy, France, Austria, Albania and the Czech Republic, in addition to engagements throughout the United States. She has also appeared in live television and radio broadcasts and has served in concertmaster roles for performances in Venice, New York, New Jersey, and at Yale University.
Throughout her musical development, Alexandra has participated in master classes and advanced studies with internationally distinguished musicians including Ilya Kaler, Joseph Silverstein, Liviu Prunaru, Daniel Andai, Irina Muresanu, and Lucia Lin. Her accomplishments include being named a finalist in The Boston Conservatory Concerto Competition and receiving first and second prizes in national and international violin competitions in Romania.
Alongside her performing career, Alexandra has established herself as a committed and versatile music educator. Since 2020, she has taught violin, piano, music theory, composition, and ensemble performance at The Real School of Music in Andover, Massachusetts. Her contributions as an educator have been recognized with the school’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Harmony Award, and MVP Award.
Alexandra’s teaching approach combines a strong technical foundation with musical expression, artistic individuality, confidence, and stage presence. She works with students from early childhood through advanced levels and provides individualized preparation for auditions, competitions, recitals, orchestral performances, and collegiate music programs. She also has experience adapting her instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
Her students have earned awards at the Crescendo International Music Competition, Little Mozart International Music Competition, and Charleston International Music Competition and have performed at distinguished venues including Carnegie Hall, Rockport Music’s Shalin Liu Performance Center, Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre, and Methuen Memorial Music Hall.
Students under her guidance have also successfully auditioned for the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, New England Conservatory Preparatory School Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, Northeast Massachusetts Youth Orchestra, and Massachusetts Music Educators Association ensembles. Her private teaching has extended to advanced and pre-professional musicians, including preparing a student who was subsequently admitted to Berklee College of Music.
Whether performing on stage or working with the next generation of musicians, Alexandra brings the same commitment to artistic excellence, discipline, musical expression, and meaningful communication. Her work reflects a lifelong dedication to music and to helping young musicians develop the technical skill, confidence, and artistic voice necessary to reach their full potential.
