About Aziza A Poggi

I am a classically trained mezzo-soprano, professional vocalist, and voice instructor with over a decade of private teaching experience. My approach centers on helping each student build confidence, artistry, and a strong individual musical identity, while tailoring lessons to their goals, experience level, and genre. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Music from Berklee College of Music, with a strong focus on vocal styles, technique, and pedagogy. During my studies, I was named to the Dean’s List multiple years, and now serve as a Berklee College of Music mentor. I also serve as a board member of West Michigan Opera Project, allowing me to stay connected to both education and the professional performance community. My performance background includes opera, classical, musical theater, symphonic rock, and contemporary styles, with appearances at Carnegie Hall, and performances throughout the United States and Europe. I bring that professional performing experience directly into my teaching, helping students develop not only strong vocal skills but also musicianship, interpretation, stage presence, and artistry … artistic communication, whether a student is singing for the first time or preparing for auditions, competitions, performances, or professional opportunities, I provide supportive, personalized instruction to help each singer grow into a confident, expressive, versatile artist.
