About Bakyt Bekdjanov
Bakyt Bekdjanov is a violinist, chamber musician, and educator with more than three decades of international performing and teaching experience. Born in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, he studied at the Music College of the Moscow State Conservatory and later earned his master’s degree and completed doctoral studies in chamber music at the Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory.
His performing career has included collaborations with the Moscow State Chamber Orchestra, St. Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra, International Symphony Orchestra in Israel, and numerous ensembles in California. As a member of the string quartet Semetei, he performed at Carnegie Hall and participated in masterclasses and workshops at Stanford University and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
Since moving to California in 2003, Bekdjanov has devoted much of his work to music education. He is the co-founder of Bow & Key Music Academy, where he teaches violin and develops chamber music, youth orchestra, and ensemble programs designed to foster artistry, collaboration, and a lifelong connection to music.
