About Daniel Neyman
Dr. Daniel Neyman is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) and a recipient of the Steinway & Sons Top Teacher Award. He is a member of the New England Piano Teachers’ Association, the National Association for Music Education, the Massachusetts Music Educators Association, the National Guild of Piano Teachers (American College of Musicians), the Massachusetts Music Teachers Association, and the Music Teachers National Association. Dr. Neyman has performed extensively throughout Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia, including appearances in France, Russia, Germany, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Ireland, Bulgaria, Hong Kong, Turkey, Spain, Israel, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Portugal, the United States, and Canada. Since 2008, he has presented live broadcast recitals on Israel’s Voice of Music Radio.
As a pianist, Dr. Neyman has received numerous awards in international competitions, including First Prize at the Carnegie Hall Soloists’ Competition at Boston University, which led to a solo recital debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Additional first-prize awards include the Voice of Music Piano Competition (Jerusalem), the Puigcerdà International Piano Competition (Spain), the Pompignan International Piano Competition (France), the Liszt International Piano Competition (Eilat), and the Gabala International Competition (Azerbaijan). Dr. Neyman has also been recognized with numerous distinguished teacher awards from organizations and competitions including Sharon Music Academy (Massachusetts), the Crescendo International Music Competition, the Pica Schubert International Music and Arts Competition, the Wiener International Classical Competition (Austria), the World Classical Music Awards (WOMCO), the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, the Extravaganza Piano Competition (Rhode Island), the Mozart International Music Competition, the Vienna International Music Competition (Austria), the Steinway Piano Competition (Steinway Society), the Gershwin Piano Competition (New York City), the Vivaldi International Music Competition, and the Sempre Music Competition. He has further been recognized in the Honorable League of Global Exceptional Music Teachers by the World Online Music Competitions Organization and is a member of the national music honor society Pi Kappa Lambda. Dr. Neyman is a Steinway & Sons Educational Partner. Most recently, he appeared as a soloist with the Yale University Philharmonic Orchestra. Dr. Neyman began his piano studies at the Karmiel Conservatory with Mrs. Svetlana Pachter. He obtained his Bachelor of Music degree at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance under the tutelage of Prof. Michael Boguslavsky. Dr. Neyman received his Master of Music degree from Yale University School of Music, where he studied with Prof. Melvin Chen and Prof. Boris Berman. He completed his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Boston University School of Music, studying with Prof. Pavel Nersessian. Furthermore, Dr. Neyman studied with Prof. Alexander Korsantia and took music courses at Harvard University’s Department of Music.
