Demet Kıvrak began her musical education at a very young age under the guidance of her father, who was a music teacher. She started her musical journey with piano and continued to develop her skills through private piano lessons throughout primary and middle school.
She was admitted to Aydın Yüksel Yalova Fine Arts High School with a high-ranking score and graduated with distinction. She was subsequently admitted to Gazi University with a high-ranking score, where she continued her university education. Throughout her education, she participated in various piano masterclasses, workshops, and music training programs, gaining valuable experience and opportunities to work with different educators and musicians.
During her university years, Kıvrak maintained an active performance career, taking part in numerous solo recitals and concerts and gaining extensive experience as a solo performer and professional musician.
Today, Demet Kıvrak lives and works in Bodrum, Türkiye, where she continues her professional career as a piano instructor. She works with students of different ages and levels, preparing them for international piano examination and certificate programs, including those offered by the Royal Academy of Music and the London College of Music. She also prepares students for conservatory entrance examinations and university music department aptitude examinations.
In addition, Kıvrak prepares and mentors her students for international piano festivals, competitions, and music events held both in Türkiye and around the world, supporting them throughout their preparation and performance processes.
Combining her identity as a performing artist with her role as an educator, Demet Kıvrak places particular emphasis on her students’ technical development, musicality, stage experience, examination success, confidence, and preparation according to international standards.
