About Rhomy Carrillo Lopez
Rhomy López is a Venezuelan violinist, orchestra conductor, music educator, cultural manager, and producer based in Houston, Texas. She is Co-Founder and Musical & Academic Director of El Sistema Texas, where she leads the organization’s orchestral and educational programs and works to expand access to high-quality music education for children and young people.
With extensive experience in music education and orchestral training, Rhomy has dedicated her career to developing young musicians through ensemble-based learning, artistic excellence, discipline, and community engagement. Her work combines performance, conducting, pedagogy, program development, and cultural management, with a strong focus on creating meaningful opportunities for students and families through music.
She is also the Director of Molto Allegretto Academy, where she develops early childhood and instrumental music programs designed to introduce children to music in an engaging and structured environment.
As a violinist and conductor, Rhomy continues to promote the transformative power of orchestral music, building programs that connect artistic development with leadership, teamwork, and a strong sense of community.
