Piano

Biography:

Viktoriia was born in 1991 in Krasnoyarsk and has lived in the world of music since childhood. For her, the piano quickly became more than an instrument-it turned into a living language through which she can speak to both children and adults.Today, Viktoriia is a music educator, pianist, composer, and author of pedagogical methods, scholarly articles, and music collections featuring her original works-an artist who unites the concert stage, the classroom, research, and publishing in a single career.

After graduating from the Maxim Gorky Pedagogical College with a specialization in Music Education and enrolling at the Siberian Federal University in Pedagogical Education(Music), she began working with children in kindergarten, guiding their first steps in music. There she formed her distinctive teaching style: instead of “teaching by the book,” she strives to reveal in every child a composer, a performer, and a sensitive listener. In parallel, Viktoriia maintains a private teaching practice, creating personalized learning paths-from the first sounds at the piano to participation in international competitions and festival performances.

As a composer and performer, Viktoriia is a multiple prizewinner of prestigious international competitions. Her name appears on winners’ lists in the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Poland, and Russia, and her works are performed on competition and concert stages alongside classical repertoire. The international professional community has recognized her contribution to music education and creativity:Viktoriia is a member WOMCO and has often been invited to serve on juries of international competitions.

Another important dimension of her work is research and publishing. Viktoriia writes about music education and the development of creative thinking in children, and creates pedagogical materials and collections of sheet music. Her book The Viktoriia Belikova Method: Developing Young Composers synthesizes her experience:the child is not only learning to read notes, but also to think like a composer and to create original music consciously and independently.

In all her activities-teaching, composing, performing, and writing-Viktoriia seeks not to keep her talent “for herself,” but to share it with students, colleagues, and educators.Around her, children and adults begin to believe that music is not a privilege of the few, but a living space where anyone can speak about themselves openly, sincerely, and authentically.

What do you like most about CIMC?

Great for building a portfolio For students, it’s a real motivational boost: diplomas and awards help them build a strong portfolio, and for me it’s a clear way to showcase my studio’s results (both to parents and for future opportunities). Fair categories by level I appreciate that the categories are structured by age/level, so participants are compared with peers at a similar stage. That makes the results feel more objective and meaningful. A nice international atmosphere Even in an online format, it still feels inspiring to be part of an international community. Students realize that music is a big world—and they are truly part of it.
