Alexandra Kim, a 16-year-old from Pasadena, CA, began playing the violin at age 4 and the viola at age 13. Under the tutelage of Dr. Cheryl Scheidemantle, she has received numerous top prizes and accolades, including from the California American String Teachers Association, Antelope Valley Bach Competition, Junior Bach Festival, MTAC Scholarship Competition, MTAC VOCE Competition, and Satori Music Festival. An avid chamber musician, she enjoys sharing the joy of music with her community by regularly performing in nursing homes and hospitals.
