Anastasia-Romana Țegheni is a 17-year-old Romanian student at the private school West River Academy in California. Simultaneously, she attends the courses of a Romanian Art School in the city of Oradea. She focuses mainly on the academic vocal department but mostly studies privately. She has over two years of stage experience and practice and has taken secondary visual arts courses.
She has been singing since the age of 13, and her passion for classical music (especially opera) came to light during her early childhood thanks to her mother, who broadened her view towards this unique style of music.
Her vocal talent was discovered during the music history lessons when she listened for the first time to the Romanian piece “The Tree” performed by the famous Soprano Angela Ghiorghiu imitating almost perfectly the song, which marked the beginning.
In June 2023 she participated in the 7th International Classical Music Competition in Manhattan, being selected to the shortlist and receiving certificate. At the same time she won the trophy of a Music Competition – academic vocal department in the city of Constanta Romania.
After finishing the high school she plans to continue studying at a Conservatory abroad, this being her greatest desire.
