Arabelle Grote

Arabelle Grote, ten, is a 5th grader at Medina Elementary in Medina, WA. She has studied piano since the age of five and her current teacher is Ni Liu and Dr. Peter Mack.
In 2021, she received numerous awards, including a First Prize & Exceptional Young Talent Special Prize from the International Music Competition “Bonn/Beethoven” Grand Prize Virtuoso, First Prize in 8th International Piano Competition “Citta di San Dona di Piave”, a First Prize in the Great Composers International Rising Talent of the Americas Competition, and first-place winner in the Charleston International Spring and European Music Competition, she also won the 2nd place at the Gustav Mahler Prize Piano Competition, the Napolinova World Piano E-Competition, Special Prize for the interpretation of a composition by Fryderyk Chopin, and American Classical Young Musician Award. She received the 3rd prize at Nomea International Piano Competition, 7th International Music Award (FSC Vienna/Austria), VI Paderewski International Piano Competition and American Virtuoso International Music Competition. Some other awards include the first place in American Fine Arts Festival and American Protégé International Music Spring Talent Competition.
She has performed at Benaroya Hall at age five and seven, after winning first place at the Russian Chamber Music Festival and Competition. She has been chosen to perform in winner’s recitals at Beethoven-Haus in Bonn, Germany in 2021. She will perform at Carnegie Hall Winner’s Recital in 2022
Prior notable achievements include being a gold medalist at the 2020 Pacific NW Piano Competition and 1st place in the 2020 Simon-Fiset piano competition. Arabelle was awarded the Best Performance of a Baroque Composition in 2020 and in 2021. She received a silver medal at the 2021 NW Chopin Competition, 2021 Pacific International Piano Competition and the 2020 Russian Chamber Music Festival and Competition. She frequently wins NW local competitions, including recent 1st place awards at the Seattle International Piano Festival & Competition for 2017, 2018 and 2019.
