
Originally from Waikele, Hawai’i, Brandon Revilla is currently in his 4th year at the University of North Texas College of Music, pursuing a BM in Flute Performance. Revilla studies under world-renowned pedagogue, Dr. Mary Karen Clardy, and extensively trains as a flutist, piccoloist, and alto flutist within the studio. He has participated in numerous competitions and auditions throughout his undergrad, garnering intensive music experience. He won first prize in the 2020 MTNA Hawai’i Young Artist Division, 2nd Prize in the 2021 New York Laureate International Competition, 2nd prize in the 2023 Charleston International Music Competition, and was principal flute and alternating piccoloist with the International Lyric Academy Orchestra in Italy for the 2023 summer season. He has also participated in intensely competitive competitions like Yahama Young Artist, National Flute Association, and the Austin Flute Society competitions. Currently residing in Uraga (Yokosuka) Japan, when not in Texas for school, Revilla actively attends masterclasses and professional recitals/concerts in Japan, both in central Tokyo and Northern Hokkaido. Aside from school related activities, Revilla actively performs in a Drum and Fife duo, playing piccolo with a fellow UNT Drum Musician and performs for galas and dinner parties.
