Cameron Bessicks first began playing the trumpet when he was in the 5th grade two years after playing the clarinet. Ever since he started learning the trumpet, he decided to continue his musical training. He was accepted and attended the TWIGS program in the Music Department held at the Baltimore School for the Arts during his middle school years. He then later was accepted to be a full time student at the Baltimore School for the Arts in August 2012 to continue his training in music. He then later received his high school diploma from Baltimore School for the Arts in May 2015. During the summers of 2013 and 2014, he was accepted into the Performing Arts Institute located in Kingston, PA held at the Wyoming Seminary to continue sharpening his music skills. Later on, he received his Bachelor of Music in Performance at Virginia Commonwealth University in May 2019. He studied with numerous teachers such as Rex Richardson, Kevin Maloney, Taylor Barnett, and Brian Strawley. Cameron also attended multiple music festivals such as Eastern Music Festival and Music Academy International in Mezzano, Italy. He also had the opportunity to study abroad for a full semester at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland located in the city of Glasgow, Scotland. Cameron is currently living in Richmond, VA as he continues to hone his music skills on the trumpet. Despite these troubling times, Cameron has plans of attending graduate school to pursue Music Performance in the near future. Cameron Bessicks has goals and aspirations of traveling around the world to share his music with others.
