Cana Fass started piano lessons at the age of 6 and lives in Williamsburg, Virginia. She enjoys playing classical, rock, country, and jazz music. One of her favorite experiences was accompanying a large church choir. She also plays piano duets with her brother, accompanies singers, and has played in a jazz combo. For the last eight years, she competed in Irish dance and recently competed in the North American Irish Dance Championships in Montreal. She takes piano lessons from Sharon Stewart of Richmond, Virginia. Cana has competed and placed in several competitions of the Richmond Music Teachers Association. She recently placed first prize in the International Bach Competition for the Baroque category. She and her brother put on hour-long musical variety shows at retirement residences each summer. Also, she is a Nationals-qualifying year-round swimmer. She teaches a group piano lesson summer camp for economically disadvantaged children.
