Claire Woo is a freshman at Branham High School. Claire has been playing flute for six and a half years, and it has become what she enjoys the most. Claire won the first place for American Protégé in 2022. She has participated in two CMEA competitions, and has gotten “Excellent” both times. It was a ton of work filming and practicing the songs, but she had a lot of fun with her flute teacher Ms. Tina Kim. As for the US International Open Music Competition in 2019, Claire got second place in her first in-person competition. For the past four years, Claire has been playing in San Jose Youth Orchestra under Ms. Sarah Barton and also playing for the Bliss Charity Concert with the Mid-Peninsula Boys & Girls Club. Claire has been playing flute in a church ensemble every week for the past five years.
