Clara Rudy is a second-year undergraduate student at The Ohio State University, where she is pursuing a BM in Performance. In December 2021, she was named a winner of the OSU Symphony Orchestra Undergraduate/Master’s Concerto Competition. In January 2022, she was awarded second place in the New Albany Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. Clara has also won multiple prizes at the Charleston International Music Competition. She enjoys playing orchestral piano and has performed with the OSU Symphony Orchestra and the Newark-Granville Symphony Orchestra.
Clara currently studies piano with Dr. Caroline Hong and has previously studied with Professor Lynn Singleton and Dr. Christopher Durrenberger. She has participated in masterclasses with Henry Kramer and George Lopez, among others. This year, Clara has worked extensively in chamber groups with Professor Mark Rudoff, performing the first two movements of Beethoven’s “Ghost” Piano Trio and Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata. In addition to piano, Clara plays violin and is a member of the OSU Symphony Orchestra.
