Dan Gnip is dedicated to music and plays piano and guitar. He is a freshman at The Specialized Bronx High School of Science in New York City. He especially committed to his piano performance and won numerous awards and prizes. He was a 1st prize winner of Young Artist Vanguard Music Competition, received 1st prize in Crescendo International Competition, 1st prize in Concert Festival International Competitions, 1st prize in Golden Key International Competition in USA, he also received 1st prize in the Prometheus International Contest in Italy. Dan received prizes for the best Chopin and Bach performances in Great Composers Competition and the second prize in the Art of Piano International Competition. As a winner he performed at Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall. Dan was chosen for his excellence to perform at Merkin Hall in New York City as part of the festivals of Lucy Moses and Special Music Schools. He also performed at Steinway Hall, Freeport Memorial Library and Rogers Library in New York. Dan participated yearly in NYSSMA festivals playing both piano and guitar and receiving the highest evaluations. Dan studied piano with Olga Vinokur and Eva Zinger and attended Lucy Moses School of music. Dan plays classical and jazz guitar and has performed with his rock band in New York City on a few occasions. Dan loves sports and enjoys playing basketball.
