Daniel Cho, 14, is a freshman attending Poolesville High School’s Global Ecology Magnet Program. He currently studies trumpet with Ms. Hyejin Yi and Mr. Patrick Whitehead. He started playing trumpet at the age of 9 and gave his first public performance the same year. His musical achievements include 3rd place and Honorable Mention at the YMIC Metropolitan Music Festival and more. He also is the 1st Trumpet for the DC Youth Orchestra (DCYO) Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and the 2nd Trumpet for the Poolesville High School Concert Band. He was also selected to represent his middle school at the Montgomery County Middle School Honor Band. Daniel was also an active part of his school’s Jazz Band as well. Outside of music and trumpet, Daniel enjoys participating in robotics, volleyball, Korean Traditional Drums, and curling.
