Darin Lambrev was born on February 7, 2010 in Sofia in the family of the theatre director Nikolay Lambrev and the sculptor Ogniana Vakavlieva. He started playing piano and cello at the age 5. In 2015, he applied for and was accepted into the National School of Music “L. Pipkov ” – Sofia, with violoncello. The choice of instrument is explicit from the start. Practicing piano continues as a second instrument outside the school and assist in the development of his musical culture. He is interested on composition and music recording software.

From October 2023 hi is accepted as Junior student at Tunkunst Akademie fur Music in Darmstadt in the class of prof. Romain Garioud. His violoncello teachers are Magdalena Dalcheva (in Sofia) and prof. Romain Garioud (in Germany). He participated in Allegra Master class in 2018 and 2021 in class of Prof. Peter Somodari and in 2019 and 2022 with Prof. Laslo Fenyo. In 2022 he participated in ISA Master class for string soloist in Semmering (Austria) and in 2023 in Chieti Masterclass (Italy) with prof. Romain Garioud.

From 2022 he plays with Piano Trio Sforzato, being the youngest professional trio in Bulgaria.

· Second prize at National competition Cantus Firmus in 1st category.

· Laureat 1 st level – Golden Diploma and Discovery diploma – International Competition for Instrumental Music „Golden Strings“ (age 10-12) 2022
