Eric Michael Reilly

Eric Reilly, 16, is 11th grade at Lynbrook High School in Lynbrook, NY.
He is an accomplished student musician who plays oboe, English horn, violin and baritone saxophone. Eric is a member of his high school wind ensemble, marching band, symphonic orchestra, string quartet and jazz band and is a board member of Tri-M music honor society. He is a valued leader in his high school pit orchestra and has performed on both oboe and English horn in “Les Miserables,” “Anything Goes, and “Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” He is a multi-year All-County performer and was selected as an alternate for English horn in the All-State music festival. He is vying for a spot in the all the top National Honors Ensembles for his senior year. Eric has won numerous music awards and scholarships, and multiple awards for his performances in concerto competitions, including a grand prize award featuring him performing a solo oboe concerto on the Carnegie Hall stage. Eric will be touring Europe this summer with the Long Island Youth Orchestra, performing at some of the most notable venues in the World. Eric is the Founder and President of Students Gifting Music, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for student musicians to practice their skills by performing for residents of nursing homes and hospitals. Eric was presented with the Young Leaders in the 21st Award by NYS and Congressional Leaders in 2023 for his outstanding academic achievements, music performance, athletic leadership and service to the community. Eric is an award winning science researcher at his high school, and he regularly competes on the local and state levels in chemistry. His research was chosen to be published last year. Eric also plays varsity football and baseball on his high school teams and is often found tutoring students in various subjects during his school breaks. Eric is very excited to enter this concerto competition as he continues to hone his craft that he wants to pursue in college.
