
Gloria Lee was born and raised in Oradell, NJ and began cello at the age of 12. Soon after, she joined the Bergen Youth Orchestras where she participated for 7 years and was featured as the soloist for the Concerto Competition and served as principle cellist for her last couple years with the orchestra. During her earlier cello years she entered competitions such as the American Protege International Competition, New York International Competition, KRB International Competition, and the Forte International Competition and she win 1st prize. Due to injuries she was not able to play cello for almost 1 1/2 years but post recovery was accepted to the Peabody Institute of Music to pursue her Bachelor’s of Music and study with Professor Alan Stepansky. Gloria has also performed in masterclasses for renowned cellists such as Steven Isserlis, Philippe Muller, Johannes Moser, Gary Hoffman, and Marc Coppey. She also attended Domaine Forget during the summer of 2022 where she received the Award of Excellence. Currently, she is continuing her studies with Professor Stepansky to complete her Graduate Performance Diploma.
