My name is Jonathan Fung and I am currently 13 years old. Cello has always been an important part of my life and is a hobby that I truly enjoy. I started my cello journey under the instruction of Dr. Shiang-Yin Lee at the age of 4. When I was seven years old, I joined Pacific Northwest School of Music’s (PNSM) chamber program. After two years of my attendance there, I applied for Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra and was accepted. Currently, this is my fifth year at SYSO in Debut Orchestra. In the summer of 2022, I was chosen to be apart of the Honors Performance Series Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. I have also participated in my school’s orchestra since 2022 school year. I hope to continue playing cello for years to come and to exceed much along the way.
