Joshua Chae, 15 years old from Southern CA, and is currently studying the viola at the Colburn School of Performing Arts with Gina Coletti. He attended the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Young Artist Orchestra, the Idyllwild Music Festival, All-State, and All Southern Orchestra. During his viola journey, He has worked with Karen Drefus, Paul Coletti, Nadia Sirota, Dan Dona, and many great conductors around the world through participating in orchestras, masterclasses, and solo performances. He also plays in the Colburn Youth Orchestra, Colburn Sinfonietta, the Ed & Marie Edelman Chamber Music Institute, Junior Chamber Music, and Arcadia High Symphony Orchestra & Chamber Group. He loves collaborating with chamber musicians where he feels the intimacy of the chamber music and creates a close bonding relationship with his inspiring peers. He is also an avid music ambassador bringing music closer to young children and raising awareness of music education at an early age.
