Kate Hsia is sixteen years old and lives in California. Her current piano teacher is Tamami Honma, who she has studied with for almost three years. Kate loves music, and besides playing the piano, she has also played the clarinet and composed music for her school’s orchestra. Kate’s accolades include first place in the 2023 US International Open Music Competition, the 2023 Great Composers of Eastern Europe Competition, and the Charleston International – 2023 Winter Music Competition. Kate regularly performs in her local community. Besides playing piano, Kate also enjoys tennis and robotics. Her favorite part about playing the piano is being able to share her love of music with others.
