Kathleen Wang

I began playing percussion at the age of six in 2014. Through my classes, I learned to play various diverse instruments belonging to the percussion family, such as different drum variations and the marimba, as well as other instruments. I shifted my focus to the marimba in 2018, forming a quartet with 3 friends I had played percussion with previously. Our time together was cut short as Covid-19 came along and shut down many businesses, including the music school I had been attending. During the pandemic, I was fortunate to find a new teacher that has been with me until the present.
