Kelsey Guo

Kelsey, a sophomore at Portledge School, has studied with Julie Becker since September 2022. She first began learning the violin and growing her passion for music with Ani Resnick at Suzuki on the Island when she was six years old. Kelsey is a Gold Prizes Winner of the 2022-23 International Music & Art Society 9th Annual Talented Young Musician Olympia competition and finalist in the Young Maestro International Competition, through which she had the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall. Kelsey spent last summer at Interlochen Center for the Arts, and she has participated in All County and LISFA music festivals. She also serves as concert master of her school orchestra. She loves her solo repertoire but particularly enjoys playing chamber music with her peers.
