Olivia Park is a freshman at Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, CA, where she splits her time playing the flute in the Wind Ensemble and alto sax in the Jazz Band.
Prior to high school, Olivia was invited to play at the State Solo and Ensemble Festival after receiving a Superior/Exemplary rating for her performance at the California Music Educators Association festival. She went on to play for the All-State Junior High Symphonic Band, and this year she became a member of the selective All-State High School Wind Symphony and performed at the California All-State Music Education Conference.
Outside of school, Olivia played for the Korean American Music Supporters Association (KAMSA), and HopeBox youth orchestras and has been with the California Youth Symphony Associate Orchestra as the principal flutist. She is also a member of local charity ensembles, Bello and MUSE, frequently holding concerts to raise awareness and funds for communities in need. When she wasn’t playing with the orchestras and ensembles, Olivia participated in summer camps to connect with other musicians. Locally, she enjoyed the C’est Bon Chamber Music Camp and will be at the Philadelphia International Music Camp and Festival this summer where she will participate in their Solo Performances Preparation Program. On the stage, Olivia recently won the American Protégé Music Competition as well as several local competitions including KAMSA, Silicon Valley Music Competition and US International Open Music Competition.
Before she was a flutist, Olivia practiced piano and was invited to play at the Music Teachers Association of California State Convention upon receiving branch and state honors at the advanced level Certificate of Merit test.
