Samantha Liu

Samantha Liu, 17, is a rising senior at the Orange County School of the Arts. She performed at the Bruno Walter Auditorium in Lincoln Center as well as the Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall. Samantha has received top prizes in AFAF International Competition, Satori Young Pianist Grand Prize Contest, MTAC Scholarship Competition and the Southwestern Youth Music Festival, and has had the privilege of working under Dr. Nadia Shpachenko, Dr. Sarkis Baltaian, Professor Lucinda Carver, and Professor Neal Stulberg through various masterclasses. Recently, she was invited to perform at the MTAC State Convention Masterclass as a Level 10 Panel Finalist.

In addition to performing, Samantha, along with a team of fellow students, organized Opus Music Foundation, a nonprofit organization that encourages young musicians’ development.

Outside of music, Samantha volunteers with Tzu Shao, Tzu Chi’s youth group.
