Seowon Han

Seowon Han is a sixteen-year-old flutist from Orange County, California. She started her musical career with piano and violin at the age of six. Seowon is currently part of the Sunny Hills High School Symphonic Band, also in her fourth year as a flutist, after transitioning to flute at the age of 12. She is a member of the Tina Music Group, an organization that allows members to share their musical talents to spread warmth and delight in the community through annual benefit concerts.
Seowon performed and competed in several music competitions. She won the solo junior award from Bay Area Music Association’s US International Open Music competition and was rated ‘superior’ in numerous California Music Educator’s Association solo and ensemble festivals. She also performed at Carnegie Hall after winning the American Protégé Woodwinds & Brass Competition in 2021. Seowon was selected as the Most Outstanding Symphonic Band member by the Instrumental Music Department director in 2022.
Seowon aspires to continue her musical career with flute and inspire others through her talent.
