Sofia is the winner of the 2023 Loudoun Symphony Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition. She has been a member of the LSYO since 2019 and the Briar Woods High School Orchestra since 2022. In the past she has played with the Ashburn Youth Symphony, the Eagle Ridge Middle School Orchestra, and the Rowan Youth Orchestra.
Sofia has placed in the Loudoun All-County Orchestra, the Virginia Regional Orchestra, and the Virginia All-State Orchestra.
She received Second Prize in the Charleston 2021 Romantic Music Competition, was the recipient of the Malone Foundation Music Award in 2022, and received the Second Prize in the Charleston 2023 18th Century Music Competition.
This year Sofia was selected to perform at the Honors Recital of the NVMTA Bach/Baroque Festival and Competition, and she was also invited to play as a soloist with the Loudoun Symphony Orchestra.
