Sophia Rose Torres

My name is Sophia Torres, and I am a vocal performance major at Florida Gulf Coast University. I come from a small town in Florida, and growing up, I wasn’t exposed to a lot of classical music. However, upon arriving at college and joining ensembles and immersing myself in opera, I discovered a love for the vocal arts and solo performance that I never imagined I’d possess. My journey in voice has been a long and at times unsteady one, but there is truly nothing else I could do with my life that would be as gratifying and thrilling as performing opera.
