Stephen Sirui Chen

Stephen Chen is a fourth grader student from Virginia. He began to learn piano at the age of five and a half. Stephen won many competitions crossing international, state, and district levels. He was placed first in the 2023 American Protégé International Competition, the 2023 American Music Talent Competition Piano Category, and the 2022 Elite International Music competition. He received second place from Charleston 2023 International Baroque Competition. He won first place in the 2022 VMTA (Virginia Music Teacher Association) State Auditions and second place in the 2021 State Auditions. Additionally, he won first place in the 2022 and 2021 RMTA (Richmond Music Teacher Association) District Auditions. He is very honored to receive the achievement award 2022 from RMTA. He received first place in the 2021 RMTA Bach competition, and first place in the 2022 and 2020 RMTA Sonata competitions. Besides playing piano, Stephen loves reading and math. He received the grand award (99%) from John Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth testing.
