
Yige Zhou is a sophomore from California. She started playing piano when she was 5 years old.
Yige got countless awards on piano performance. She also got the first prize in 2023 International Music Competition Grand Prize Virtuoso and was invited to perform at Salzburg(Austria) on July. Yige was the first-place winter of both the 2022 Golden Classical Music Awards International competition and the 2022 Seattle international Piano Festival. She was invited to perform at NYC’s Carnegie Hall in 2022 too. She also won First Prize and Rising Star in the Muse 2019 international music competition. Additionally, she earned second place in both the 2019 Los Angeles Young Musician International Competition and the 2019 International music competition Salzburg “grand prize virtuoso”. From 2018 , Yige has earned lots of first-place awards in the Southwestern Youth Music Festival and Satori Summer Music Festival.
Whenever she plays music, she imagines each piece as a story unfolding beneath her fingertips and shaped by her breath. Music means a lot to her.
