Zachary Tsai

Cellist Zachary Tsai began his musical training when he was 5 years old. Currently he studies with Armenian cellist Vardan Gasparyan. He has performed in masterclasses with Minna Rose Chung, Andrew Mark, Thomas Mesa, John Walz, and Yi Qun Xu. Zachary is a member of the Colburn Chamber Music Institute. He has attended the Heifetz International Program for Exceptional Gifted with scholarships, and has received top honors at Altair International Competitions, Great Composers Competition Series, and Newport Virtuosi Competitions. A freshman at the Flintridge Preparatory School, Zachary also enjoys theater, hockey, football, volleyball, and basketball.
