This competition was a lot of fun and less stressful, since I only had to submit a video. Taking part in this competition allowed me to listen to the wonderful playing of very advanced pieces of other competitors in different age groups. It helped me understand the high standards of piano playing that I aspire to achieve. The judge’s reviews and comments also helped me get valuable feedback about my own playing. I am thankful to be a participant in this competition.

Thank you for the opportunity to compete! It spurs me on to practice and continue to refine my piano skills. I especially enjoyed your kind critique on how to improve my playing.

Thank you for the wonderful honor and recognition, as well as the opportunity to perform and compete.

The feedback was very helpful, and we’ll be back!

Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts on my students’ participation in the competition. It has been a truly enriching experience for them, allowing them to showcase their talents, gain confidence, and grow as musicians.

The competition provided a wonderful platform for them to challenge themselves, receive valuable feedback, and be inspired by fellow participants. I have seen remarkable progress in their technical skills and artistic expression through this journey. Winning an award was a proud moment, but more importantly, the experience itself has been instrumental in their musical development.

I sincerely appreciate the effort put into organizing such a meaningful event. It has been a privilege to witness my students’ dedication and achievements, and I look forward to their continued growth in future editions of the competition.

Thank you so much for providing opportunities for musicians of all ages to share their love of music! It was an honor to participate and share classical music with other talented people.

I am incredibly proud and honored to announce that three of my students have been chosen to be finalists for the 2025 Charleston International Piano Competition.

Since the age of five years old, Sophia has been immersed in integrated art through the Smart 8 series; her piano education started with the Piano Academia series, based on modern piano pedagogy. This has guided her to develop the skills and technique needed to fully embrace music and express the emotions she is feeling, leading to her currently preparing for the RCM 7 exams. Watching her enthusiasm when she starts new music as well as how quickly she learns new things, I believe that experiences such as competitions like this one will greatly help her to grow.

Jooha is a student who I have been teaching since he was three years old, also through the above mentioned integrated art program. He started piano at the age of five, and I have found him to be an exemplary student in both integrated art and piano. It is evident that he genuinely feels music within himself, even when he is analyzing new pieces for the first time. His sincere attitude towards music, as well as his excellent ear for music, makes me very excited to see his future growth.

Emily is one of my most artistic and expressive students; once she finds a piece that she likes, it completely becomes her own as she pours her emotion into it. Her natural musical talent has me greatly looking forward to seeing how she continues to develop her skills through various piano competitions and RCM exams.

I strive to introduce music from various eras through various methods to all of my students, engaging them from the young age of five years old through sensory methods. I am always eagerly anticipating how they weave a story within each of their performances. I wish them the best as they continue to grow as music lovers.
